“Try and keep things in perspective too — don’t take life too seriously, you’ll never get out alive.” - David McCollum

Welcome to The Irvine Atlas
St Andrews Journal of Geography and Sustainable Development
What began as an attempt to revive the previous St Andrews Undergraduate Geography Journal, STAG, has re-shaped into The Irvine Atlas, a student-run academic journal peer reviewed within the School of Geography and Sustainable Development.
Our journal aims to empower students to confront contemporary scientific and social issues at the intersection of the environment, society, and the economy, cultivating innovative thought within areas of change. Committed to fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration, we welcome submissions from University of St Andrews students to address complex global issues within the realms of geography and sustainable development.
As The Irvine Atlas continues to evolve, our commitment to academic excellence and collaborative exploration remains steadfast. Join us in our mission to uncover new insights, spark meaningful discussions, and inspire impactful solutions to the challenges shaping our world today.
Join us in celebrating the rich tapestry of student research and contributing to the ongoing discourse on geographical and sustainability issues. Together, let's navigate the ever-evolving landscape of academia and inspire positive change through shared knowledge.
